The Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region is now offering an Early Pregnancy Program for you and your support persons as you navigate through the first and early second trimesters. We offer monthly sessions led by a physician and a pharmacist to talk about: prenatal genetic screening; healthy nutrition in pregnancy; and safe medication use in pregnancy. Sessions are held the second Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at the Regina General Hospital, Meeting Room 7 and 8. The next session is Feb. 14. A special drop-in immunization clinic for infants and pre-school aged children will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the La Ronge Health Centre, from 1 to 4 p.m. No appointment necessary. For more information, call (306) 425-4800.

The newly formed Saskatoon Satellite chapter of the CAYC (Canadian Association for Young Children) Saskatchewan Chapter is hosting an exciting event on Saturday, March 3 at Fairhaven School in Saskatoon. The morning consists of a site visit to the early childhood programs that make Fairhaven a holistic and dynamic site of early learning and care: the childcare centre, prekindergarten, kindergarten, Grade 1 and Grade 2, as well as representation from one of their connecting childcare homes. To end the morning, a discussion focused on working with community will be led by U of S teacher candidates. Members and non-members are welcome.
