Yes. All material on the site is reviewed before being posted. To contribute material, contact us using the Contact Us button on the main menu.

Yes. You need to register for an account, and then subscribe to projects, events, or other categories of information that interest you. To subscribe, click on the "subscribe to" link underneath the information you want to follow. When information is added or updated, you will be notified by email.

Whenever new content gets posted to kidSKAN, we classify it to try and keep things focused. That way, we can serve very different users with one comprehensive web site.

We also have an email notification system, so when you find a project, or an event or even an entire category of information that you want to follow, just click the appropriate "subscribe to" link at the bottom of the page, so that any time that information gets updated, you'll receive an email notice.

You can unsubscribe from notification at any time. Instructions for unsubscribing are included in each email.

kidSKAN is a provincial network of researchers, practitioners and policy makers in academia, government and the community with an interest in early childhood development in Saskatchewan. This network is based on the concept of a community of practice.

Its mandate is:
• To facilitate early childhood development stakeholder networking
• To facilitate sharing knowledge among ECD stakeholders
• To facilitate appropriate policy and practice change
• To identify and facilitate new opportunities for collaborative research

kidSKAN is funded by a Knowledge to Action grant from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research for the period of October 2008 to March 2011. The funding is held at the University of Saskatchewan, under the direction of Professor Nazeem Muhajarine. Fiscal and legal responsibility are governed by the University of Saskatchewan’s policies and procedures for Tricouncil-funded grants.
