SPHERU and the Saskatchewan government have partnered to evaluate KidsFirst, the government's early childhood development program targetted to very vulnerable young children and their families.
Theories explain relating by shedding light on how and why activities bring about change. The KidsFirst evaulation research team has identified three theories can help us better understand the KidsFirst program: Self-Efficacy Theory, Attachment Theory, and Human Ecology Theory. This evaluation is funded by the Canadian Population Health Initiative and the Saskatchewan government, and is being conducted by a group of researchers and decision-makers, led by Nazeem Muhajarine at the University of Saskatchewan.
