Using theory to plan and evaluate KidsFirst - a brief summary (2008)

SPHERU and the Saskatchewan government have partnered to evaluate KidsFirst, the government's early childhood development program targetted to very vulnerable young children and their families. 

Theories explain relating by shedding light on how and why activities bring about change. The KidsFirst evaulation research team has identified three theories can help us better understand the KidsFirst program: Self-Efficacy Theory, Attachment Theory, and Human Ecology Theory.
